In March this year, the rate of adoption of iOS 8 had reached 77 percent and Apple has now released new figures using the new version of its mobile operating System.
The report said that iOS is 8 to 81 percent of the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and this is the first time that iOS 8 has reached the level of distribution in equipment that exceeds the figure of 80 percent.
Meanwhile, iOS 7 is now on 17 per cent of all equipment, while older versions of Apple's mobile platform are only 2 percent of the equipment.
The rate of adoption of iOS 8 was slower than that of iOS 7. The latest figures cover the period until 27 April 2015.
