Facebook has announced the launch of a new project called Internet.org Platform which aims to connect mobile users in developing countries and enable developers to create applications and services on the platform of internet.org.
Facebook has previously provided the platform for a few partners and now opened it to any developer who wants to try it.
Internet.org platform is also an attempt by Facebook to combat criticisms that have been addressed regarding Internet.org service.
The initiative known as Internet.org began in 2013 with the main purpose of connecting the five billion Internet users coming from all over the world.
Facebook was not alone in this project, as other major companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, and others on board.
Internet.org is open to any developer as the third party, but there are strict guidelines on how platforms should used.
